The weave
The Weave (c)
by Michael Casey SOB ,
(son of a blacksmith from Kerry Ireland)
The weave makes something strong
and the pattern on/in the weave has a strong sense of place
It may be a kilt, so the weave, the pattern belongs to a certain clan
but a weave is society too
how we rely and depend upon each other
without the right sheep bred the wool would never be good enough
and then the wash and the spinning to make the thread
then the weaver
then the cloth ready
then the hand steady for the cutting
then then the design and tailoring
with the expert fitting
these are just some of what goes on
I'm not a film with Meryl Streep in
but in the end the fitted garment is a godsend
just like that Andrew McQueen
So now it is obscene for one person
To say he knows it all
He knows nothing
he's the salesman
Others on every step of the ladder
hold him up, and without them He is Nothing
It's called Society so nurture and praise Everyone
Don't use and discard them
Look after one and all
for if you unravel the weave
the whole of Society falls
the weave is each and everyone of us
big and small, fat and thin, of every state in society
So weave through all of them
Love, honour, protect and cherish
for this is what a True Weaver is meant to do
he is a glue, not an injection of bleach to the vein
